The ICAR-Directorate of Groundnut Research, Junagadh has organized a Farmer’s Interactive session on 17th October, 2022 at its premises coinciding with the Agri – Startup Conclave and Kisan Sammelan at Mela Ground of ICAR- IARI, New Delhi by Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. The interactive Kisan Mela was attended by farmers from Kukaswada, Maktupur and Langodara, Ivnagar and adjoining areas of Junagadh District. During the interactive session the difficulties faced by the farmers in cultivation of crops and its remedies in this part of the states of Gujarat was discussed by Dr. C.S. Praharaj, Acting Director, ICAR-DGR, Junagadh. The Deputy Mayor of Junagadh, Sh. Girishbhai Kotecha was invited as the chief Guest for the function. This was followed by live telecast of the events of Agri–Startup Conclave and Kisan Sammelan and the address of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of the India, Shri Narendra Modi. A total of 260 including 150 men farmers 30 women farmers and 80 staff members of ICAR-DGR participated in the Interaction session and watched the Webcast of our Prime Minister. Tarpaulin Sheets were also distributed to 70 farmers under the TSP Programme operational at ICAR-DGR by Hon’ble Chief Guest
